The Journey Continues

Great news: Although originally, only the top six at Trials were supposed to qualify on to the selection camp and I was 8th, my coach and I submitted a petition asking to dive individual 3 meter there. US Diving has a petition process through which a top level athlete who has a strong chance to make the Olympic team and has a legitimate reason for missing a qualifying opportunity is given a second chance to qualify. My petition basically argued that I dove poorly at Olympic Trials because I was coming back from an injury, and that I would have a chance to make the team if allowed to compete at the selection camp. The committee of people-in-charge-of-such-things voted today, and it was accepted! The journey continues! Ole!
